I know the instructions say to hold base and pull camera away then turn . Does it take a lot of pressure to do this when pulling/turning. Mine doesnt seem to want to move and I dont want to damage the mount or base. Love the camera so far even though I havent tested it yet but the mount has me frustrated .
it does take a fair bit of pulling first time ( ooh errr! ) to get it to come off ( he he he :) )
I havnt even used my camera yet and its broken....
I found a video of someone opening the box and going thru all the parts, I was very reluctant to separate the velcro base as it was very tight, when it finally separated, it pulled part of the base away (did not separate the velcro) so now I have to come up with some way of fixing it ... very dissappointed

I had the same experience, just used some super glue to put it back together and has been perfect ever since!
