I just got my 1080p in and noticed that when the lens is on the middle notch (vertical mounting), the lens itself has a bit of free play. It doesn't lock firmly like when on either of the outside notches. I'm concerned this will negatively affect the video. Has anyone noticed this, or is this normal?

I've had this with all of my cameras (5 total). It irks me, but honestly, it never seems to effect the video.
same here! but ive never found it affects the footage, its only the mount security which makes any effect to the footage, generaly it would need the camera to go through a rotational force at 90 degrees to where the camera is facing to cause any probs (this only happens to me if i crash, and then every thing goes blurry!).
I'm glad to hear that! I was worried it was gonna be an issue. Thanks guys.
I have this on all our cameras as well. Our next line of CamLenses will be slightly longer with a set screw in the back to allow the user to lock down the lens after rotating it into position.
