Well i feared it, but the on/off switch is WAY too loose.
I will be putting a ziptie on it like i ahve all my other VholdR's so that if anything brushes by it does not turnt he switch off.
I wish the switch had been flipped so forward is off, backward is on.
This is however not bad when the camera is viewing behind me!

I agree, when I got mine I thought it was broke. It does slide into a detente all the way forward but it isn't much.
I would like if the motion was as easy as it is now, but the 'lock' in the forward position was a bit more secure.
yep same here thought it was broke but gave it a bloody good shake and it didnt turn off,we'll see in the long run...
A ziptie works pretty good, if you have it over the back keeping it so it will not go back, you simpply squeeze the sides and it will allow the on/off to come back to the off record position.
This will create problems as i am able to simply brush my finger backwards on the camera & it will turn it back, not good for trees i fly past in the bush!!
well its only taken two rides and 30 clips to make the switch to work loose :( ive found that one big bump is all it takes to turn it on and off on its own, this is realy annoying so its out with the 'heath robinson' box of assorted problem solvers, thank you inventer of zip ties we are not worthy. ( its just a bloody shame as ive only had the camera 4 days!! the footage is great though)
have we just got the rogue ones then? or do you think the chinese are doing this to annoy us in the west, may i be so bold as to tell the factory to pull there bloody fingers out of there arses and get it right or at least give quality control a slap around the ear with a wet fish.
there, i feel a bit better now, rant over, coffee in hand, deep breaths, lets blow something up!!
Took my Contour a little longer than Vholdr to develop this problem, but both have it now. Still wouldn;t trade for anything else out there though.
Hey Everyone,
I'm closing this thread for comments and stickying it. Here's the final word.
We looked further into the record switch detent and have made some adjustments in production. This problem should be limited to very early units, if there is a problem with your switch, hit us up at support and we'll take care of you.
