Hey
I have just got my hands on my new contour HD and still digging my way through the posts on here, lots of good info.
I was hoping I could ask the opinion of anyone who uses a macbook pro with their contour HD and whether or not the standard imovie is a sufficient piece of software for editing and improving your vids or whether you really need to upgrade to a better package? At the moment I really just want to be able to cut and add sound tracks.
I currently have an Asus that is due to be replaced and I think I am going to make the jump to a Mac, so any input appreciated.
(I can watch playback on the Asus but its a bit jerky and I have to run the camera through the xbox and onto the TV to see the footage in the quality it should be viewed)

imovie is a great video editing program. i used it to edit my 1080P video from my canon 5dm2. that is 30MBPS of data!! It edited it flawlessly with no lagging at all.
Imovie will allow you to do simple editing and a bit more, the titles are very professional and easy to do.
imovie 8 is a nice package and has stabilization as well.
Cheers, good to know.
I now feel fully justified in spending more money!
