I'm really struggling here. I got Sony vegal movie studio after finding that the easy edit program reduced the bitrate of the viedeo when I clipped it.
Can anyone recommend a codec and settings (bitrate) so when I split or join video in sony vegas movie studio the video I output is comparable in quality and size to what the camera saves. I keep getting either a huge video or terrible quality.
Also, I thought it was supposed to support h.264 but I only see h.263. Same for other users?
Any help is appreciated.

Funny, I don't have AVC as a video format and don't have AAC as an audio format. What version of vegas movie studio do you have? I'm on platinum 9.
Scratch that last comment. I'm an idiot. I had to back up one step and choose SONY AVC from the first menu. I'll try your settings. Thank you!
Thanks for the help. Those settings are perfect. Now to work through my audio sync issues and I'm all set.
Thanks again.
