slide switch

spinningwill

Sorry, but as a bicyclist I find the slide switch hard to use. Suggestion (hmmm...have to admit I have not yet tried this): super-glue a short, square cross section, plastic rod onto the slide switch (better not get any glue off to the edges!!) so it's very easy to find and move when you reach up to turn it on or off. But I do wonder what this might do to the warrenty, even if no glue gets to the edge and permanently glues the into permanently either recording, or not.
Suggestion for VholdR: the slide switch should have something on it which sticks up.

I have just spent a weekend riding in the wet and muddy Otway’s. Once my gloves are wet I can not grip the slide switch and turn the camera on or off. It’s even worse when a drop of mud gets into the slide and makes it stiff to move. I end up accidentally opening the rear cover. But on the other hand some of the best shots of the weekend were missed when a low branch hit the switch and turned the camera off. I don’t know the answer but the switch needs a lot off improvement.

my suggestion for the switch is to have the gap - empty depression currently in front of the switch in off position - to be present on both ends. it should facilitate pushing the record switch in both direction with finger in the recessed area behind the switch. seems easier to grab the switch that way than to use the grip (tread-marks?) on top of the switch. especially once the gloves are on.
