I am having problems editing. The clips I film run perfectly in the vholdr software and in windows media player ect. but after moving the clips into any editing software the footage becomes "jittery". I think this is because the camera shoots in 30fps and I am in the UK so use PAL which I think is 25fps. Could this be the problem? If so is there a remedy?
Here is a link to my edited video with the problem

I am not too clued up with computers so I am probably totaly wrong but I need to work out what the problem is so I can edit up all my footage!
Thanks
Tee

Hmm, I would check out a program called FFmpeg, its a application that converts video files. You should be able to convert the file into one that works better for you. If you'd like you can email me with a clip of the original video file and I can take a look at that.

Tee,
As you say, the camera is recording at 30fps, at a resolution of 640x480 - basically this isn't the same as PAL or NTSC (which is 29.97fps). As a stopgap, you could try editing in your program as NTSC?
I used Adobe Premier Elements 4.0 for my editing, and it works fine. Took a few attempts to get everything happy, but frankly that was due to my not being familiar with the program. I just use the widescreen (780x480 or similar) NTSC setting, and then just export to whatever format I want, and let the program deal with up/down converting. Seems to work fine.

Thanks for that Ian
I will give that program a go and see what happens.

Sorted it! still using windows movie maker, just rendered it in "high quality NTSC" and its fine.
Thanks to everyone.

Glad to it!
