hmm never heard of it, the vholdr basically acts as a card reader when connected via the USB cable.

what operating system?

i did some googling & found this article - http://www.jadechip.com/produc...

Perhaps this is the Hardware/Software within the VholdR Itself.

"Armed with ARM926EJ embedded CPU, hardware MPEG-4 codec, and rich peripheral interfaces, Z228 is specifically designed for the explosive market of smart phone, multimedia portable device, video surveillance and video phone. "

the OS is winxp pro sp3, regarding the site there is no software for downloading. the only thing available is guide pdf files to download about the cpus.

i changed the SD card with new one even but it is giving the same note, which mean that there is something with the camera cpu and nothing to do with the SD cards.

does the camera record itself? Have you formatted the card via a Card reader & tried that way?

Sounds like a bunk camera missed some testing in the build process.

just make sure that the record switch is fully back and exposing the red bit as there is another thread here where someone had the switch forward when they connected and they had the same message, worth a try.

After installing the VHolder PC application do the following:

Assuming the Camera is switched off,

1. Disconnect data cable.
2. Make sure the recording switch is on the STOP (toward the back of the camera) position.
3. Power ON the Camera and let it boot (15-20)sec.
4. Connect the data cable.

This should do the trick.

The jadechip error is something that you will see when you power the camera on in the firmware update mode which occurs when the camera is powered on with the record switch slid forward. elboss is dead on- power on the camera with the record switch slid toward the rear of the camera (away from the lens) and then power on the camera and reconnect it to your computer. This should have you up and running smoothly! Send me a message if you run into any other problems.

AJ,

Please see BholdR's post right above yours, I think that might be your issue.
