I'm using a vented helmet mount and experimenting with various homemade handlebar and under the seat mounts on my mountain bike.
Even on relatively smooth tracks the footage shows a lot of vibration compared to some of the videos posted here.
Would anyone care to share their tips for trying to reduce vibrations, shake ?
Thanks

A lot of video editors have stabilization or "de-shake" filters. "Smoothcam" comes with Final Cut and is very effective. However, it takes a lot of processing time/power. With FCP it's best to transcode to Prores 422 just the section of clip you need smoothed out, reinport, then run the Smoothcam filter.

The Vibration could be caused by slight movement in the mount. If you can make it so the bike or something stays static you will notice less movment with the video. Even a slight giggle can make the video seem very nauseating.

I've been modifying my underseat mount to something more robust and initial results are encouraging - in fact its a great camera angle and the vibration has been reduced dramatically.
I'll also have a look at the software recommended once I've come to grips with vegas.
Thanks

put some kind of hard rubber material like neoprene under the mount and it should reduce the shaking. It help my video alot

The shaking is caused by vibrations and Movement, so I suggest that, the same as Molcam, "Neoprene" is the best idea
