For many shots, I found the fish eye characteristic of the HD annoying.
It is easy to fix. I use Vegas for editing, however this plug-in is available for most editors.
NewBlueFX.com has Video Essentials-II which has a lens correction plug in effect that can straighten everything out, eliminating the fish eye look. I found it worked great and eas easy to use. It is the only plug in for lens correction that I've seen.

hi
what's the name of the effect?
thanks
It is called "Lens Correction". It is in their Video Essentials-II.

A free trial is downloadable.
FYI: You didn't do it, but one person sent me a message asking for my serial number for it. I do not believe in bootlegging software. When things are really good and inexpensive, buy it. Companies deserve to get paid for the work they do.
I'll post a video in the next day or so that shows what it does. I did some rollerblading this weekend after just getting the HD (but I do have the dust problem in the lens, but it didn't show on this video).
I really doubt you can have a wide angle lens so small unless you were to spend hundreds of dollars on special lens grinding. I don't fault them for it at all. The HD really is pretty cool! I am impressed with its quality.
Now if they just let you set the date/time from their software! That is so important when saving clips and working with multiple cameras.
As for setting the time, check the thread about it in the ContourHD section :-)
Went there. Did that. Done that. Thank you very much!
