I am interested in getting a mount attachment for the camera so I can put it on a rail system. Just as an example to what I'm looking at here's a link of a helmet with the rail system. http://www.protechelmet.com/pr...

Dutch - we have additional helmet mounts in now. do you need another mount or you were saying you liked that mount?
Well, my helmet already has that rail on it. I'm wondering if the camera comes with an attachment that will secure it onto that rail.
Good idea Dutch, we'd like to offer a TON of different mounts but we certainly can't be experts in every industry, so it's best for us to partner with guys like pro-tec and let them use their knowledge to make the mount.
Honestly, I would encourage you (with as many interested people possible) to point pro-tec in our direction. If you get their attention before we do I can promise we will welcome them with open arms.
I'd second making an adapter which allows attaching the vholdr to weaver/picatinny rails - would be useful for all military and wargame (e.g. airsoft) applications. In addition to the helmet shown, I think the majority of weapons use those rails for attaching sites, forward grips, lamps etc - be perfect for a vholdr.
Would be better than my current hack to attach to my jungle hat - heavy-duty velcro :)
When are the other mounts coming out, e.g., the vented helmet mount, etc.??
Dutch--
email me off-list so we can discuss this. I'm attempting the very same thing and have some ideas...

Hi,
Juste received my vholdr , here in France. I'm going to use it with my motorcyle for trip, race-track session, etc ... Im' very interesting to have mobile secure mount to attach the camera.
ideas ...
- a unit with rail and screw thread to settle the unit on the motorcyle and the cam on the rail
- direct include screw thread on the vholdr
I think it could be very useful to have this sort of fixation. When you want to use a cam on race-track, rules are very strict for security.
thanks
Laurent
I have to get away from helmet mount on the sid,e i am constantly hitting the camera off from trees & brush.
Working on a visor mount or under jaw mount.
Can anyone here point me in the right direction on getting more of the mounts that come with the camera
I have sent an email to GG&G. They make great mounts for tactical purposes. If the market demands it, maybe they will produce an adapter for the picatinny rail!
I was concerned about trees as I ride mostly in the woods so I made an under visor mount. To get the angle right I made a wedge out of foam and carbon fiber. I conected them with dual locking fastner and velcro from target. They hold well under vibration and shock. I also protected the lens with a rifle scope cover from buttler creek it is the blizzard style in size 2. There is a clear lens and the vids look good with it close. After testing it out, the camera is out of my used line of sight. However, you can still see all the buttons, switches, and lights. The wedge only adds an ounce and a half of weight, due to the fact that it is made of foam and carbon fibre. Here is a link to some pictures of the setup.
