Uploading video to VholdR site

steveb

I'm trying to upload a edited video to the site, but it ain't working. It's a .mov movie, and it's about 780m in size. Is this within the accepted formats?

Is there a page with the required formats anywhere? I've looked but can't find one.

Hi there. 780 meg file? Wow . . . that's massive. The site has a video file limit of 100 megs. That's for each file, not a combined total.

I'm not sure what you're editing with, but if you can export your video files in Mp4 format, at around 800 kbits/sec with a physical size of 400x300, you should be looking good. Mov files can be big.

If you have further questions, email me at anthony@vholdr.com and I'll help you out. I look forward to seeing what you've edited.

The uploading through VholdR is terrible and unreliable. I've resisted using uTube or other sources but am at my witts end with this.
The video size limitation is too little and then the desktop software tell me it loaded properly and 3 days later it's still not available.
I don't know why some of my videos will upload while others won't.

It shouldn't be this hard to upload videos. I'm really dis-satisfied with the VholdR program and will now probably use uTube despite the poor video quality on that site.

me too, same uploading problems. the site tells me it will take a few minutes (since yesterday). 100 MB are a 5 minutes clip before editing, so if the limit is 100MB, it means you can't upld more than a 4-5 min clip. too small :-(

I have the same problem. I haven't been able to upload a single video clip. Whats up wtih that VHOLDR? You advertise you have a site and now I find out you can only upload 4-5 minutes. That is of course not acceptable. Please fix this problem so I can share videos.

Hmm I don't know I have uploaded a clip with music & it runs 12 mins plus, unless things have changed but I only posted it maybe 2 weeks ago. Maybe I better knock on wood.

Hey guys. Danusunt has it wrong - the size limit of a single video clip you can upload is 200Mb, or around 10 minutes of raw video from the VholdR Camera.

One thing some people have run into is if they fail to validate their email address clicking on the link in the email we send users after sign-up. In that case, we limit the size of videos and the total amount allowed - we're trying to keep spammers from submitting hundreds of crappy promotional videos advertising weight-loss hypnosis pills, or whatever those guys usually promote!

We're constantly reviewing site usage policies like this, and we're also working on cleaning up our design to make it friendlier with getting information to you about these things.

If you have any problems with uploading, or you have suggestions for the site, you can also always get our attention by using the Report A Problem link.

200Mb??!?!?!?!
Is that ALL???!?!?!?!
Pfffhhh!!!
Hardly seems worth loading anything onto this site.
The smallest clip I have is 446Mb and it is all good footage which cannot be edited, just have to share my clips somewhere else!

I can't upload anything over 100MB. I uploaded 5 video's under the 200MB limit and all of them show up as processing so then I uploaded another under 100MB and it shows up. I validated my email when I signed up too. If this was a video sharing only site I could see a 100MB limit, but to promote this camera I think 250MB would be more then fair. Being that the only editing I can perform on my video's is to trim the end its hard to keep the size down. I am trying to remember to stop/restart my vids on the trails to keep the size down, but I don't always remember.
