I have the sticky mount and also bought a vented helmet mount and am not finding the best way to mount this camera. Should I stick with the sticky mount which doesn't seem to have enough of a curvature to stick completely or try to figure out how to attach the vented helmet mount? The vented helmet mount has long velcro straps that I can't seem to figure out how to run through the helmet to make it stable. Any pics of how this is done would be great...
Thanks

try and find some dense foam and put that between the helmet and the mount to act as a spacer, the foam should allow a snug fit by letting you put a bit of tension on the velcro straps.
I wish I could post a pic of the issue. The lower part of the mount with the strap doesn't go through a hole. It just goes to the bottom of the helmet. There isn't a hole to put it in so tieing it around and looping back isn't a possibility. Maybe the mount center can be turned 90 degrees and I can run the straps a different way.
I got the vented helmet mount so that I could let friends borrow the camera without having to get a sticky mount. I'm having trouble visualizing how it is best mounted. Anyone got a pic?

the material used in between mounts and lids is closed cell foam
Used a cut piece of foam pipe insulation like David used. This allows you to crank down on the velcro straps more with out denting the bike helmet. I also added a little clear rtv sealant to the top and bottom of the foam to make it less likely to slide around. Works well.
the solution that worked for me, (MTB more upride position, than roadbike), i wanted a horizontal plattform for my Std.Helmmount and more cushing, so i made a shim off several cellfoam (glued with dubble-side scotch) . The base was a big block and shaped it with a knife. For more stability a put a litle ''droplit'' thats fit in one of the air-vents hole of the helmet. On top of it come the mount and snug it !
In the mount itself you will have than 3 stands/angles.
