I charged my VholdR the first time. It took about 4 hours as the instructions said it would. My question is that I used the VholdR for a 1 minutes test and then hooked it back to my PC for a charge. It has been 3 hours now charging and the red light is still on. Does the charge cycle always take 4 hours?...even to top off the charge?

No, it shouldn't really even need a charge after a minute. When you connected the camera back to the computer was it on? Sometimes the charge light won't go off while the unit is powered up, if you turn it off and reconnect it, it should probably go off.

Nope. It was off. I just unplugged it from the USB now (it was green) turn it on and let it boot up. Turn it off and waited for lights to go out and then waited for an additional minute. I then plugged it back into the VholdR provided USB which is connected to the USB on my laptop and it has been red now for 20 minutes. I suspect that it will stay that way for 4 hours now? This does not sound normal.
No that does sound odd, but you know, batteries can act funky when they don't come up from an actual depleted charge. I would suggest, taking it out and using it for a while, then coming back to recharge it. See if that sets it back to normal if not hit-up the support email and get a case going with us.

careful I did the same thing and killed my battery I think. It no longer will charge! I guess it is possible to overcharge them so be careful
