Hi All, just used my VholdR for the first time yesterday and need help with a few problems.
1. Did intial charge out of box and got the green light, since ride yersterday, it wont charge back to green light, performed well more than the 4 hrs recommended. Howver when I do battery status is it green. Any advise?
2. Like some others have commented, I too have lost video I thought I recorded. Is this to be expected? whats the common probelm memory card, or camera itself.
First impressions if the vholdR not so good.
Cheers
Paul

welcome :) ,
you will find loads of answers to both your questions, so ill narrow it down, first have you got a version 1 or 1.2 (main difference is the battery clip v1.2 has a orange plastic clip), if its a metal clip its a 1, the reason i ask is that the 1 had a habit of sometimes letting go of the battery in use so it lost power and didnt record.
yes the battery light can be a bit of a pain to rely on at times , personaly i use an old nokia 1100 cell phone to charge my batteries as it was designed to take the bl5c battery and when its charged it shuts off,the other bonus with the phone is that it only takes about 1.5hrs to fully charge.
another possability with the footage is the card (did it come with one?) as the cheeper the card the less able to handle the data thats coming in,try and get a sandisk premier (somtimes mobile premier) 2G card as these are realy the best out there at the moment, ive got 4 of these cards and they are better than the cheap one i started with, they also have a 10 year warrenty :).
hope this is of some help, and dont forget if you are having major probs give support an email as they are a freindly bunch.
enjoy ;)
Thanks for info
I have 1.2 with the orange clip.
Will look into the BL-5C battery chargers.
Also will look at getting a decent memeory card (1gb came with camera).
Hopefully this will improve things
Thanks again
Hi whiter,
Another trick for getting the charging to finish is to make sure the camera is NOT powered on when you charge it. It will charge when it is powered on, but sometimes that can trick the littler LED. Either way if you've charged the battery for four hours then you're at 99.99%.
The loss of videos is interesting, if that keeps up be sure to let us know and we'll take a look at your unit.
Thanks,
Nate

I just purchased my 2 VholdR cams 2 weeks ago from B & H Photo and BOTH of them have metal clips without the orange. I used them for the first time yesterday and one worked flawlessly and the other had the "loose battery" issue and kept shutting off. I live in Seattle and was wondering if I could bring my unit in so you can either put the orange clip on or swap for a 1.2? I'll bring my receipt. The mount is already on my motorcycle so I can't bring that in. Thanks.
That could probably work. Just shoot an email into support@vholdr.com so we can get a ticket started. Then we can come up with something that works for you.
