Newbie - Can't find any video files on my SD card

geoffers

Hi - newbie question here?

I've managed to create a partition on my 2Gb SD card using cpl>adminTools>computerManagement>DiskManagement, so have now got a FAT32 formatted 1.84gig drive.

I can access this as drive E:\ from "myComputer" or from a command-prompt, and read/write files to it just like any external drive.

The cam seems happy to record, and a 1sec button press status check gives 2 green lights.

However after finishing recording if I look at the contents of the drive, I can't see any video files? Where are they :-( ???

Any help greatfully received. Thanks, Geoff

are the files there in easy edit? if so...... open the start bar and select 'control panel', open 'folder options' and then select 'view'. where it says 'advance settings' you will find "hidden files and folders" make sure that 'show hidden files and folders' is highlighted , click on apply and then you should be able to find the files, although they shouldnt be hidden in the first place. now if that doesnt make any difference, try a right clck on the drive in 'my computer' and format the card that way. i know it shouldnt make any odds but you know what these computers are like ;-)

out of curiosity what os are you using? i foolishly assume that your on a windows os that is.....
