I can load the AVI files into both programs but when I burn them to a DVD from the editing programs I end up with a grey screen and a small rectangle of jarble in the lower right corner.
I do see that the VHOLD records at 30 fps while most camcorders create AVI files at 27.9 fps; is this the cause of the problem?
How do I rectify this so I can edit the videos and burn them into usable DVD's?

its probably something to do with the rendering settings i would guess ,as i had similar things when saving edited stuff whilst i was getting used to sony vegas.
how did you resolve it?
It happens sometimes when I'm veiwing the files in windows media player too so I think it might have more to do with the actual avi file.
I tried changing it from avi to mp4 but it didnt help at all
with vegas it was a matter of adjusting the rendering settings so that it rendered in the same as the vholdr recorded , ie the display size and the fps (i cant remember exactly as it was more than a day ago!) i then adjusted the settings so that evey new file was started in the same settings.
you will have to mess around with either programme, or if anyone else is reading this who know adobe or majix better ,as i have no experience of either :)
