As I slowly ween myself of the cabled up cameras, the one thing I truely miss is my LANC control.
Wired or not, I miss being able to glance over at the little LED on the controller to see if the "recording device" is still recording ( or even not recording but ready to record).
The LANC control gave the ability to start/stop recording remotely.
Mount a Contour on your head and its impossible to see the status of the thing. Hate to find out that 2 minutes into an hour ride, the thing quit recording.
What is the possibility of squeezing a LANC controller/jack into the Contour? Heck, I would even take the LED indicator without the start/stop capability (for now).
