If you're like me and tried to get the grooved mount plate off the adhesive base so you could put it on the goggle strap base, you learned that it's hard to do.
The instructions say to slide it on to the camera and to use the camera's body to hold on to while pulling away. That resulted in some people breaking the mount off the camera because the 'velcro' is too strong.
SO, I used my dremel tool (the plastic is almost too hard for utility knives) and cut a notch so I could use a flat tip screw driver to pop it off, thus avoiding possibly breaking the grooved mount plate. See the attached photos. Hope this helps someone else too.
Be warned though, after a few times of popping it off, the adhesive backing that keeps the 'velcro' on the grooved mount plate, will come off.
VholdR need to rethink their mounting options. No adhesives. MECHANICAL leverage is the safest and best. Take it from a helicopter pilot who's done his share of mounting equipment on aircraft that have to withhold static pressures at high speeds!
Peace,
Eric

Sorry everyone, the photo didn't attach. I'll try to add it but I don't think the VholdR site allows updates/changes to postings. Frustrating.
