Description: Sidecar Racers Assoc. West Saturday race at Portland International Raceway. Chasing down Johnny Killmore for 5th position. I get two laps into the race when the cam chain in my GSX-R 1000 engine snaps at top speed in 6th gear with 12k RPM on the tach down the front straight with a loud BOOOM! in the engine. I pull in the clutch right away and hammer the brakes getting off the racing line and off the track. We swapped in the spare motor that afternoon for Sunday's Practice/Race.
